Getting colder, turtles and the pool

During the daytime here it's still nice and sunny, but in the evenig time it get's quite cold, somewhere around 17 degrees. So when we walk back from the pension where we sleep to the hotel we need thick clothes.
This week some turtles came out, during the months may and juin, the turtles lay their eggs on the beach, if someone saw it, than they put a small piramid on that place so the tourist will not damage the place. Later than the small turtles come out. Usually they come out when there is a lot of moonlight so when they come out they orientate themselves towards the light. The problem is that there are a lot of hotels here in turkey, and when they come out they go instead of going towards the see, towards the shining lights of the hotels. If they are lucky people see that and help them back to the see.

In the daytime we have less activities now, since the water is too cold. But together with the turkish animator here we jumped in and did some crazy things on it. Keeping ourselves busy and it was fun for the tourists to watch.

To finish a view what we see if we go back to our place to sleep after leaving the hotel.

Two more weeks to go in Turkey

I think the past week was probably the last really hot one. Temperatures will drop now with 5 or 7 degrees. Wich is still very nice during the day, but not hot hot anymore. After all Turkey also has a winter period. This is a picture I took in the evening time from my room. ( My room is just above the word Cinarlar).

On another day just before it started raining I went to my terras and could see two tornados from there. They were somewhere above the see, a litlle far, but I tried to make a picture of it. Guests from the hotel who had seen the tornado's from close. Told me that they could see the water going up in the air.

Further this week not a lot of things happened, activities are still going well here, because the germans have a holiday, and when their holiday is over the belgians have theirs. So it's always busy here. Better like that I think, no time to get tired.
My uncle, aunt and grandparents left yesterday morning. Was nice having some family here. And in two more weeks I'll see the rest of them.
One last picture of my grandparents to finish.

One free day and a birthday later

Last week was busy again, it never stops here, the weather is still very hot and people want a nice holliday. But last thursday it was raining a lot here, it felt nice, felt like a day at home. My uncly aunt, and my grandparents are staying in the hotel until this sunday. I took a picture of them in the bad weather, die hard tourists.
The tourists were complaining, but we liked it a lot. Due to the rain and storm a few electric problems occured and we've seen some electric things explode. Also the next three days there was no warm water in the logement where we stay. Welcome to turkey!

My free day was a lazy one again, sleeping, going to side, eating, going back, sleeping. Here's a picture of Aykut, Maarten and Sofie.
For the moment I'm just waiting to go home again... and Russia of course.

Before yesterday it was lolo's birthday, one of our Belgium girls here in the animation team. We all went to the rockbar in Side and partied, some of us until 2 o'clock, some of us until 5, and this morning at 8.30 we had to wake up again! I'm sure you can imagine how it feels!
This is a picture of Lolo and Renaat

Another one from me, Sarah, Renaat and one name I forgot!

And this one is Maarten, me and Sofie.

22 more days before I return to Belgium! And Katrien, Fré, Kevin, we don't have a lot of time, but I'm longing to see you guys!
Also the family of course.
I know, I make a lot of spellig mistakes in this English blog, but that's just because I'm too lazy to double check it :-)

The reason I go to Russia

During four months here there were working three Russian girls with us. Jana, Gulla & Olga! Three different types. But with one of them I fell in love! And she did with me! Yes sometimes a man can be very lucky! End of august they went back to russia, but we said that we were going to give it a shot! So that's why I go there. Later she should visit me in Egypt, and if everything goes according to plan next year we could go together on season next year together.
It was a lot of trouble getting my visa to visit Russia, becaus you need: a) invitation from hotel or private person b) a form in wich you request the visa c) insurance for the period of stay d) international pasport d)a job. If you have all this you can request your visa in the Russian embassy in Belgium. That takes about two weeks. But because i was only going to be 2 days in Belgium it was not possible for me. So I tought i'd went to the Russian embassy here in Turkey/Antalya. When I got there they left me waiting in a small room for two hours, after that I just went away, I saw nobody. Just when I was about to give up, I read about a buro in Belgium and Holland who arranges visas. You send them all your stuff and they go to embassy for you. So I sended everything over, including my pasport (so I was illegal here in Turkey) and two weeks later the send me everything back!So much trouble for a piece of paper they stick into your pasport. But! It's going to be worth the trouble! I'm sure.

To finish this message I also have to show a picture of her!

Een actievere vrije dag & ticket naar Rusland geboekt

Yesterday I had my free day again, and together with the entertainers from another hotel, who also work for jetair we had a team activity.
Our local chef Annelies arranged everything for us! So we just had to take the bus and join in.

At three o'clock the bus picked us up at the hotel and we went to the mountains where we did a quad safari.
It was a very nice environment but I felt quilty driving there with my filthy quad bike. So it was a nice experience, but I'm never gonna do it again.
The funny thing was that we had three turkish guys guiding us, and you know, turkish guys, they try everything to get the attention of the girls! It's a real macho culture. Funny to see, but sometimes it gets really on your nerves.

After that, the bus took us to the Manavgat river where we went on a boat, en had a nice meal. We ended up in the comfortable seats doing nothing but relaxing!
A nice day!

At the evening time I was awaiting my uncle and aunt, and grandparents. I was doing some internet stuff and booked my flight to russia.
The second of november I fly from Brussels to Moscow, there I take the train to Kazan, that is another 800km's further. The 13th I return.
